The Fault In Our Stars Review (Cue the sniffles)
Ah yes my friends it is time for the dreaded yet highly anticipated TFIOS review. First of all let me express the first thought I had about this book and my apprehension towards it. Let me be blunt I had just finished Jodie Picoults "My Sisters Keeper" and so I had already cried reading about a girl with cancer and familial problems. That book although may it be brilliant was a heart breaker and it didn't make me want to jump back into heart ache. However I was like what the heck? Might as well keep going I'm already on a roll. So I opened it and was pleasantly surprised and naive by thinking oh yay its just going to be a heartfelt love story between two unique individuals. NO! That was a big resounding NO. Hazel Grace Lancaster is sixteen, and has finished high school early but has already suffered more than most. She was diagnosed with stage 4 thyroid cancer with metastasis forming in her lungs. Horrible I know and to get diagnosed at such a young age of 13. Because Hazel was diagnosed at such an early age she never got to experience being a teenager fully, she never rebelled, never did anything extraordinary. That is till her mother pushes her to get out of the house and meet some friends by going to support group meetings in the heart of Jesus. (You have to read the book to understand that whole statement the meaning is funny just so you know.) I'ts when she goes to the meeting that she meets the handsome, sweet, quirky, Augustus Waters. Augustus is a 17 year old one legged virgin who used to struggle with osteosarcoma (A cancer that deals with the bones) and has gone into full remission or so we thought. Augustus has a weird yet wonderful take on life and he is exactly what Hazel needs to make her life have more meaning. Augustus upon meeting Hazel expresses his opinion of her beauty almost immediately much to her surprise. Augustus makes Hazel feel special and strong and she makes him feel normal and loved. Augustus with his blue eyes, mahogany hair, bad posture and missing leg. Hazel with her dark brown hair, green eyes, chipmunk cheeks, and oxygen tank they make a odd yet wonderful couple. Augustus and Hazel create a bond that mixes two emotions that no one ever thinks might go hand in hand. Love and despair. Love is what the two know and feel about each other and their lives, despair about their conditions and the awful realization that the two of them may not be together for long and deaths impending glare is overhead. John Green throws in a surprising and utterly upsetting plot twist that leaves you either racking in sobs or having silent tears streaming down your face. For me it was slight sobbing in the middle of a quiet 9 person classroom while my psychology teacher looked at me as if I had a condition. Thinking back on it now that was a hilarious moment. Augustus shows Hazel the world and in return Hazel lets him in. She never wanted to, referring to herself as a grenade, brushing him off and saying “I'm a grenade and at some point I'm going to blow up and I would like to minimize the casualties, okay?” yeah sad moment. That phrase is a form of foreshadowing that I will not tell you about because even I'm not that heartless. This book opens your eyes its not just a book about love or never ending strength, but friendship. The book also centers itself on helping others, like Isaac (Augustus's best friend) who lost both his eyes due to cancer and whom as soon as he has the surgery to remove his eyes, his girlfriend Monica dumped him. Leaving him heartbroken over someone he thought would be his "always." Hazel and Augustus help him allowing him to break Augustus's basketball trophies (ulterior motives because Augustus also wanted to show his dad that he was done with the game) and helping him egg Monica's car. I loved this book and my copy is covered in highlighter and sticky notes it looks like a bible. This is a book everyone should put on their reading list regardless if you hate reading romance.

Please let me know if you can come up with a more accurate description I'd love to hear it so write it in the comments! Here is a screenshot of the term I will now be frequently using!

What Should I Read Next??
For the time being I have only really written reviews on love stories. What's not to like with their gooey ooey emotional settings? They make your toes curl when the guy gets the girl or the popular guy falls in love with the nerd. I've come to realize that even though no one can deny the simple pleasure of falling in love with the boy next door. That these reviews will become horribly boring. So for the sake of all things right in my world please if you have any suggestions let me know! Should I read more books on mysteries? Action? Thrillers? Horror? Because I am so down for that and now that I'm mentioning it I haven't read a good horror novel in a while. I also wanted to let you know that I have started shooting a short film (Yes Nicole does have a life outside reading believe it or not) and I will be posting it in a couple months. So stay tuned for that. I also would really love to get some book recommendations. I really need some new material. So heres some questions for you.
1. What is your favorite book/s?
2. Who is your favorite author/s?
3. What's a good book I should read today?
By the way thank you to the 185 people who have decided to read my humble post. I literally screamed Holy Flying Lemurs! (A line from a really good book) From the top of my lungs when I read that. It means a lot since I only thought like five people would read this.
Well thanks.

Paper Towns By John Green Review
I highly highly highly! Recommend reading this book before watching the movie!! I can not stress that enough. First of all I want to start off by giving a slow handed clap to John Green you have done it again my man! John Green really has a way with words and a very good imagination. This book is taken from the point of you from Quentin or Q for short. Quentin is lets say socially inept. He has two best friends Ben and Radar who are super cool but also nerds and weirdos if you will. Radar's parents own the biggest black Santa collection, and Ben has a horrible habit of calling women 'Honey Bunnies'. Quentin however does not own a giant collection of black Santa's, he's pretty normal. He has two parents both psychologists who agree on everything, he gets good grades, doesn't get into trouble and basically lives a very boring life. That is until someone mentions Margo Roth Spiegelman. Margo is Quentins long time neighbor since childhood. Quentin undoubtedly has the biggest crush ever on the beautiful, adventurous, bad girl Margo. Paper towns is a book about friendship not love like The Fault In Our Stars. You'd think because John starts the book in great detail about how much Quentin loves and admires Margo and then throws in an adventure with Margo and Quentin right before Margo drops off the face of the earth that the book would go that way but it didn't. Quentin starts to follow the little clue trail Margo leaves him but contrary to what he, his friends and Margo's bestfriend thinks, Margo does NOT want to be found. She left for a reason and while she started out leaving clues for Quentin it was only to reward him with a secret hangout place she wanted him to have. Quentin found clues she didnt want him to see. Towards the end of the book your heart cracks a little bit. I hate John Green for making me hate Margo at the end of the book. This book made me cry but most of all I laughed ALOT. Ben is hilarious and every time I saw his name my first thought would be, "Oh boy." I at first thought this book was going to be boring, I had just finished TFIOS and the beginning of the book didn't exactly entice me but I read it anyway. I cannot wait to read more of John's books. Now for the movie that is coming out, I just want to point out that there are some major differences. You will see them in the trailers and I got kind of pissed off. The way John wrote it was perfect but I guess he okay'd the directors decisions. UGH! However I do believe the film came out pretty spectacular.
Read Paper Towns when you get the chance.

Too Lovey Dovey??
Okay so.. I've been looking at some of my old posts and in ALL of them I can see not a single word of criticism like what? I'm supposed to be doing reviews but I feel like I'm just gushing about how much I love the book. I'm sorry guys, I just have good taste in books they all come out brilliant and to be honest once I start to get disinterested I just shut the book and move on. That is so wrong I know there should be a rule where you have to finish it, tough through it. So from now on I will try my best to put in some words about what the author could have done better. Or where I imagined the plot was going. I really want this blog to be well rounded so I will try harder. That was my spiel that's all I got for now. Oh yeah watch out for my Paper Towns Review by John Green!

Tea For Two by Username : SarahMargaretWrites (A Wattpad Review)
I just recently finished reading this book and by just finished I mean it is 4:29 in the morning. Insane I know but I know I'm crazy so why change it? Contrary to what you may think I will not be gushing over a fantastic love story. Nope. I will be gushing over a unique love story. Tea For Two is a story about a bisexual girl named August who happens to fall in love with her new ginger neighbor Emily. While getting to know Emily she finds out that Emily is lesbian and plays baseball. August has always been alone in a sense. She never really had friends before Emily came along and with Emily came a whole group of boys whom she's known her whole life. Funny she thinks she has known those boys forever but never talked to them and they soon become super close. Of course Emily and August go out and fall deep in love. This is not a story where the girls are constantly heated for each other like so many gross books out there. Its a natural love story about a scared southern girl who can't be who she wants to be and finds people who finally understand her for her. She lets people in and through out the story tries to avoid her gossping, strict, old crow of a mother and a douchebag homophobe named Jake Seller. I like this book for so many reasons. One being its two characters are gay, Two being it shows you the emotions an LGBT person goes through while struggling with their sexuality. This book conveyed the fact that gay people should be treated normal, because it doesnt matter what your sexuality is , it shouldn't matter. Just like what political views you have or what skin color you are just because it may be different doesnt mean its wrong. You get glimpses of disapproval and glimpses of an I dont care attitude. This book isnt what you would call your "normal" love story but who cares! Society has come such a long way because I can see the number of positive feedback this story has gotten and it makes my heart swell. I loved reading August's story of love, revenge, friendship, growth, heart break and so much more. I hope to see more stories like this being written. This is a read for those of you who are stuggling with your sexuality, need a good read, or are in the mood for an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Summertime Promises ( A Wattpad Review) by username : loveloradestiny
Do you know that warm feeling you get? Like ooey gooey warmth that just travels through your body from your head to your toes then straight into your heart? This is one of those moments. Summertime Promises is a love story that fills your heart till your about to burst open. This story is about Chance and Delanee (AKA: Lane) they have been childhood best friends for a long ten years every summer meeting at summer camp. Delanne and Chance both have their own lives away from camp and its less than happy. Delanee's mother is a raging alcoholic who is constantly in and out of rehab, along with an absentee father she once and still loves with all her heart. Chance also only has one parent, a mother and a sibling sister named Rhea. Chance is scared for his family because their financial problems worries him. Even though they both have things on the edge of their minds, they still have plenty of time to express their love for one another. The big question is: Will it ruin their friendship? Chance and Delanee have always been best friends along with their other friends, Mei, Lilian, and Elliot. But will their feelings for each other make them drift apart? Chance throughout the book does little things to try and subtly hint his feelings for Delanee but Delanee is just blinded and doesn't seem to get it. I loved reading this book the heartfelt moments kept me in a constant state of aaawwwwww. Yes it was an awww book it shows you that special bond you can have with a person. Just like Chance says in the book, "Home is where your family is." Will Delanee finally figure out Chance has been her home all along? I was crying while reading this story, some of joy, some of sadness and some out of pure anger. Lets just say there always has to be a protagonist, Okay? Yeah I know I don't like them either especially in a book like this but whatever. This book keeps you sitting up straight waiting to see if they will finally just fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Mostly because we all know while reading they are the perfect pieces for each other. I forgot to mention Chance has a major thing for Disney and Harry Potter by then Delanee should have already figured out he's the one if not I'll take him ;). It was super well written and it switches point of views so you can see both sides in this magical relationship. This is a must read.

The Hunger Games Series By Suzanne Collins (Book Review)
These books give you those moments where you wonder if you love or hate the book. Love because you know the characters, you can relate to their emotions, or hate because none of the scenarios play out like you want them to. Suzanne Collins is the type of author to reel you in then kill off your favorite character. From an interview she claims to have gotten inspiration for her writing while flipping TV channels when she passed a reality show and news coverage on American soldiers. This I must raise a glass to. I love it when authors can take inspiration from their surroundings. Nowadays, all you see is dystopias and teenagers fighting their way out of it. Then other authors keep regurgitating the same old crap. The Hunger Games series enthralled me, I found it very easy to relate to the main characters especially Katniss. Katniss is guarded, afraid, tense, unsure, exhilarated, guilty, in love, scared of love, brave, and angry. She is one big emotional rollercoaster. Katniss Everdeen who volunteers for her sister is thrown into an arena with fellow bread baker boy Peeta Mellark. She remembers Peeta years ago as a child taking pity on her when she was starving for food in the district. He on purposely burns some bread just so he could give it to her. She hates that she should owe him for anything and quickly where he is concerned shows indifference. In this book there is always something to piss Katniss off, for instance her drunkard of a mentor and a prissy escort Effie. She quickly learns as she goes through training that she must be lethal and that all the hunting she did back home would come in handy. The Careers ( A group of teenagers who voluntarily come to the games for fun) underestimate her and they find that out when she scores an 11 during training assessment. Once in the games she gets beaten up, knives thrown at her, and her feet start moving. She quickly sets traps and gets away from the other competitors. Later on in the game she see's Peeta with the Careers and feels betrayed. She doesn't want to admit she likes him. After the Gamemakers decide she is too far away from the other competitors. They decide to spice it up and light trees on fire and throw fire balls at her until she runs straight towards the Careers in open arms. After escaping the Careers (there is much more to that scene so I didn't spoil too much) she finds Peeta and quickly decided that in order for Haymitch (Mentor) to help them they must play the star cross lovers angle. Who doesn't like a good Romeo and Juliet? It works out for Peeta cause he knows he's in love with her.Towards the end of the first book they defy the Capital. Which makes them super super angry. The books in this series just get better and better, action filled, romance, killer monkeys and pearls. All make you want to keep reading. And lets just say the ending was fantastic. Highly recommend putting this on your reading list.

The Tigers Curse series by Colleen Houk (Book Review)
I'm gonna put it out there I have reread and reread and reread these books so many times I can't count. Colleen Houk puts incredible detail into the story from the crumbled buildings of Hampi to the luscious flowers of Shangri La. She also put a great amount of though into each of her characters. She delves into ll of the characters pasts and makes you really see them as a whole. The main characters are Ren (Dihren), Kishan, and Kelsey. These three are put into a love triangle that not only puts them at odds but shows you how you can love more than one person. Ren is handsome with his blue eyes and full lips and fit body. While Kishan has golden eyes and a twinkle of mischief that has been permanently etched into them. While Ren is more poetry reciting, book reading, language learning, martial arts master. Kishan is more prankster, jokester, ladies man, and all around ass kicker. The thing is they both love Kelsey, a shy girl from Oregon who never thought she would be put in this situation. I mean it's not everyday you fall in love with two tigers who can magically turn into hot indian princes. Kelsey is ordinary or so she thought, she has a passion for reading and is shy but fearless. All through out the series she struggles through her emotions, unsure if she should just allow the feeling of falling in love to overtake her or guard her feelings so she doesn't become broken. However she pushes though it as Ren recruits Kelsey and Kishan on a unpredictable, never unsurprising, journey. Full of fight scenes, run ins with death, romance and beautiful indian goddesses. The Tiger Curse series is breathtaking. It leaves you awed at some moments, girly at others, completely depressed, crying and absolutely in love. I will never want to take back those hours spent shamelessly flipping page after page only to find out it's six in the morning and I should really go to bed. I even bought the books and that's saying something. I NEVER buy books, if I do its because I can't live without them. Also I'm broke like all the time. Nonetheless reading this series is not a mistake and something I highly encourage. Cheers to Colleen Houk

Dear Library Girl ( A Wattpad Review) written by the username Pennyandpaper
Dear Library Girl, reminds me that we still have so many talented writer's today. The author took inspiration from a Pinterest post and built her story upon that. Dear Library Girl is a story about Caley a girl tired of her parents constant battles and Tyler who just happens to find a spark with her the minute he lays his eyes on her. This story tells a tale of two young people who fall head over heels with each other. It starts as being friends as any great love story should, its hesitant and sweet. Caley slowly but surely starts to believe in love. She hates the bitter sweet relationship she has with Tyler, Shes afraid of letting her feelings deepen only to have them crushed by her parents whims. This couple isn't the typical love story you read about in a romance novel. It isn't about the boy next door, or a bad boy attracting a good girl. No, its a real and natural love story of two people who just click. My respect for the author and her way of portraying their relationship is incredibly high. This book is a must read for Wattpad users. Check it out now!

What I Think About The App Wattpad
I'll be honest when I first started using Wattpad a few years ago I didn't get what all the hype was about. My first thought as I read the first story I clicked on was ,"Why in the heck am I reading somebody's crappy story with sucky grammar." Although I don't have room to judge cause my grammar sucks too. Besides that I got irritated and ended up deleting the app the same day. Now fast forward a couple years and I'm struggling to find interesting free ebooks on the internet. Finally after reading all that was available on numerous sites and such, I decided to check out Wattpad once again. I think I'm in love. Maybe I was on crack or it was my time of the month when I downloaded Wattpad for the first time all those years ago but I have no words for the joy Wattpad has brought me. First of all it's free and who doesn't like free things? Second there are some really talented writers that have not been discovered. I have become obsessed and yes started writing a book of my own you can go check it out my username is: Krojaz . I honestly would like to do reviews on the books I find on there and maybe I will but don't ask me where I bought it and get angry when you realize its not buyable. I encourage all of you booklovers to download Wattpad its honestly amazing and has every type of book genre on there so its a perfect fit for anyone! Plus did I mention its free? Okay so anyways do you know that feeling of frustration you get when your watching your favorite TV show and it stops at a really good part and you have to wait till the next week to see what happens? Well guess what?! It happens with books too especially on Wattpad. You'll be reading a really good book and then its like BAM end of story and you realize you have to wait till the author updates and adds another chapter. Then you just end up sitting there gaping like a fish at the screen of your phone like someone just killed your pet and your waiting for it to come back to life. Its sad I know. But if you can stand the frustration you will really end up loving the app. No this isn't a promotion/Ad thingy or whatever they call it for Wattpad I'm not even famous enough for that. I just really think its a great tool for the bookworms who want to spread their wings a bit and enter a whole new genre. Well that seems to be it for now my darlings, a pleasure as always.
